This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Every script and font it loads comes from the site itself. There is no contact or booking form yet.

The site saves a few small settings in your browser's storage so pages behave the way you left them. Our scripts read them on your device and never send them anywhere.

• Tour or Page

  How you last chose to see Take a Website Apart, as the tour or as a page. Kept in local storage as judco-film.

• Your Company Name

  If you type a company name on the home page, at the end of Take a Website Apart, the site keeps it with the kind of business it guessed or you picked, so the story stays about you from page to page. Kept in session storage as judco-for, which your browser clears when you close the tab. Start Over on the home page clears it sooner.

• Page Change Label

  The label the violet wipe shows as one page gives way to the next. Kept in session storage as judco-wipe and removed as soon as the next page opens.

To remove them all at once, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.

The live scorecard at the bottom of each page measures the page in your browser. Its results stay on your screen and are not sent anywhere.

Vercel hosts the site. Each time your browser asks for a page, a font or an image, the request reaches Vercel's servers carrying the details every web request carries, such as your IP address, the address of the page and the kind of browser you use.
